Lovingly named after a shadow when she was born. Umbra was lucky for who her parents were. Growing up she was the one and only princess to her clan. From a long lineage she gained power and raw talent passed down through the ages. Like no other dragon before her, Umbra could simply think of what she wanted and it would happen. She has the power to craft magic however she sees fit. The world is her oyster, and her's alone.

Her magic is the magic..to do magic. With so much raw and pure energy it can easily get out of control in the wrong hands. Everyone around her knew it and naturally began to create a level of distance between her and them. Her parents, no matter how much they loved her as their one and only daughter, also couldn't help being wary. Neither of them from the clan were rewarded with such gifts as Umbra so they had no proper idea of how to begin dealing with that power. Or to help her.
Living a life like hers can be so, so lonely. Even from a young age it's not hard to understand your situation. A child should never have to deal with that.

The day that Langness and Umbra met was one for the books.
With her home life being so suffocating, Umbra made the tough decision to leave quietly in the dead of night. Thinking, "how hard could it be to live on my own?".
