Banazir is the clan's mage and medium, and is skilled at what he does. However, he tends to stay out of the way, living on the very outskirts of clan territory. He believes himself to be afflicted with some sort of curse, isolating himself from others from fear of harm coming to them.
Most of the dragons leave him alone, because of this, not knowing if he's cursed or not, but being understandably reluctant to find out.

As a hatchling, he was forcibly exiled from his nest at just a day old, due to his colouring being seen as a dangerous omen. For days, he was forced to navigate the gloomy, gnarled Tangled Wood by himself, until he was found by a scouting party led by Venatrix and Vesper on the border of Light and Shadow territory.
Venatrix, having a deviant and cruel idea of fun, had every intent to finish him off. He was young, gravely injured, and weakened by days of hunger. He would have been easy pickings, he was completely defenseless. But Vesper, seeing not a source of entertainment, but an injured and frightened child, snatched him up before Venatrix could do anything, and insisted on bringing him back to the lair for treatment - Vesper saved Banazir's life, and he is eternally grateful for that.

However, he's just never been able to shake the feeling that he's cursed.
