Aixa is rarely found without her Highreach Bonepicker; Nya, it provides an invaluable extra set of eyes during long scouting trips and its soft body and fur acts as a warm bed during overnight trips.

Nya is wary of the company Aixa occasionally keeps but does not interfere with her nightly 'activities'.

Axia was found in the Highland Scrub early on in the clan's development while the previous scout was exploring nearby areas. Close to death, the hatchling had been wandering the arid landscape for many days before her beautiful golden scales caught the attention of sharp eyes from the dragon flying overhead. Aixa was brought back to the clan and raised by the matriarch and leader, Sullie. She soon grew strong and found she was an extremely talented scout. Her strong flying skills and ability to survive in inhospitable climates made her ideal for this role in the clan.

Due to her duties, she often spends a long time away from the clan while on scouting trips. Because of this, she finds it difficult to form and nurture relationships with other permanent residents of the clan and will only take travelers as her mate.

Aixa's very first mate was Lavender, a charming nocturne mailman Aixa met while on a routine scouting trip for the clan. The pair hit off immediately and in no time at all, there were two new hatchlings running around the clan. Lavender lingered for a few days to help with incubation, but once the brothers were born, he had to leave to continue his duties. On the day of his departure, Aixa woke to find an empty space beside her and a vibrant violet corsage resting on a scrap of paper, these things had been left on a small stone slab beside the entrance to her den. As he was her first mate, Aixa sometimes misses Lavender, but she holds out no hope for his return.

Soon after Lavender's departure, Arawn, the eldest son also left the clan to search for his father.
Lavender wrote:

To my dear Aixa,

You have blessed me with your presence and I am glad to have been with you for the short time we had together. The following is a short account of the time we spent together, I hope you enjoy reading it as you remember me when I have left to continue my duties.

I squinted my eyes as I peered towards the north... or was that the south...?
For what seemed to be the tenth time that day, I surveyed the sparse ground, looking for a suitable place to land, there was none as there had been for the past few days, I was worn from my journey and searched for a place to rest.
Perhaps I should have checked my map more carefully... none of these landmarks look at all familiar.
Alighting on the remains of a large statue, I once again opened my travel pack and pulled out my crinkled grass-stained map, The sunbeam ruins has got to be the worst place to get lost. All these stones look exactly the same! Grumbling loudly, I pored over my map. I was so engrossed that I almost didn't notice a quiet woosh as a curious golden dragon alighted beside me, it was you. My concentration broke and I grumpily turned to the intruder, insult at the ready, but you wasted no time at all introducing yourself, I found I could not get a word in around your chatter! It was comforting after the past few days of solitude. You quickly realized I was lost, and excitedly poked at my map, gesturing to our surroundings, all the while chattering about some thing or other.
Of course, the rest is history, you invited me back to your little cave and in no time at all, there were two new hatchlings running around causing havoc.

I am sorry I couldn't stay for longer, but I just had to move on, I hope in time you will understand and forgive me.

With love,

Lavender

The handsome pearlcatcher Diviaggio came to the clan from a place in the Beacon of the radiant eye. It was the young dragon's first trip out into the big wide world and he was excited. Despite the notable age difference at the time, Diviaggio and Aixa quickly hit off and requested use of a nest. The nesting grounds were extremely crowded and the new pair had to wait a few days before they were able to find a space for their nest! A single egg... Aixa jealously looked at Azra and Droplet's five egg nest and sighed. There was definitely something bothering Diviaggio.

Pwyll has followed in his older brother's footsteps and has left the lair to make a name for himself, unlike his older brother, Pwyll first consulted with Aixa before leaving. She is sad to see him go, but understands his desire to go out into the world and start a family.

Soon after Pwyll's departure, Volt, Diviaggio's son also leaves the clan. He has gone to a separate clan to see more of the world and start a family of his own.

News first reaches Aixa that her firstborn son, Arawn, has left Sorineth to serve the deities. She is saddened by this news but accepts that it was his calling. Unfortunately none of his children remain in Sorineth, they have all also left to serve the deities.

Again, Aixa has discovered that another of her sons, Pwyll has followed in his brother's footsteps to serve the deities. However this time, one of Pwyll's children, a daughter has continued to thrive. Aixa has sent a message to her clan, in an attempt to initiate contact with her granddaughter.
Aixa wrote:

To my dearest Archive,

Hello, my dear granddaughter, you do not yet know me, but I am your grandmother, my name is Aixa and I am the scout for my clan. Your father Pwyll was my son, and I dearly loved him. I received news recently that he has left you and your mother to serve the deities, while I am sure he had his reasons for doing what he did, I remain saddened that I will never see him again. Tell me young one, was he a good father and do you think of him often? I hope he said his goodbyes before leaving the two of you.

Write soon,

Your loving grandmother, Aixa.

The thought of a scouting trip into The Scarred Wasteland made Aixa wrinkle her snout in disgust, it always smelled bad there, the ground festered and constantly reeked of rotting flesh. Even the altitude was not enough to diminish the foul scent.

Her task was to scout out the area in The Wandering Contagion that was adjacent to the Tangled Wood. The clan's most secretive scholar and researcher had reason to believe an anomalous artifact was present in that area but was loath to go before the area was deemed 'safe'.

Aixa sighed as she crossed over the boarder, the foul stench hit her almost immediately and she gagged immediately, climbing slightly higher into the sky, her eagle-eyes scanned the ground, looking for anything that could pose significant problems for her timid researcher friend. Once she was satisfied that nothing (other than the overbearing scent) was dangerous, she turned in a wide arc back towards her clan in the Hewn city.

Aixa swooped low as she passed back over the border, like many in her clan, she loved Tangled Wood almost as much as The Sunbeam ruins. Perhaps I should stop for the night at the kin-clan in the driftwood drag... Hmm, yes, that's a good idea, I will not be expected back until tomorrow anyway.

Her decision made, she swooped low upon spotting the giant hollow log that marked the beginning of the path to the other clan; annoyingly, the clan was inaccessible by flight, hidden in a particularly densely-treed area of the forest on the edge of the river delta.

As Aixa strolled through the delta, careful to avoid the slippery patches of dark quicksand. They were invisible to the untrained eye and had claimed many wandering hatchlings. The smell here was bearable, despite it's proximity to the Plaguebringer's domain. The earthy bog smell coming from the rotting leaf litter, while not exactly pleasant, felt more natural to Aixa than the smell of death that permeated the scarred wasteland. Engrossed in her thoughts, Aixa continued through the forest at a leisurely pace, content in the silence.

The silence was rudely broken by a loud bellow just off the track to Aixa's left. A noise that loud and deep must come from a large creature indeed, she thought to herself... it must be an imperial, or one of the many undiscovered beastclan members she shuddered as the air shook with another grunt and bellow it sounds distressed, perhaps I should investigate. Veering off the track, Aixa headed towards the source of the noise, the ground was slowly turning marshier and she reconised the area as being one of the major 'bog-ponds' in the region Looks like someone missed that memo.

Coming to a clearing, the source of the noise growled defensively at Aixa, "Who are you" the imperial snarled, obviously frightened and unable to escape the clingy black sludge that had crept up to cover his large belly. Upon seeing her small stature, he allowed himself to relax slightly. He looked down at the sludge and resumed his frantic wriggling "Can't you see i'm stuck?" he asked, annoyed at her inactivity "Do something to help me out of this infernal stuff!". Aixa looked at him, and peered at their surroundings Ah Ha! she leapt onto the upright but obviously rotting remains of an old pine, toppling it towards the great dragon, who flinched and cursed at the sudden movement. Once he saw it's refusal to sink, he smiled and grabbed it with a front claw he had managed to keep out of the hungry black slime. Slowly but surely, the imperial pulled himself free of the mud and used the now muddy log to pull himself to the edge of the bank.

"It looked like the perfect place to land..." he commented sheepishly " free of all those cumbersome trees, I guess it wasn't such a good place after all..."

I have decided to start a diary to record the good and bad things I experience. Most of all, I would like to leave something for my children to remember me by.

A new litter was born! Only one day late this time, thank goodness, my first baby of this litter took after his father and was an Imperial! It's the first time I've ever had a non-nocturne baby and was so nervous...
Everything turned out ok thankfully, but I was surprised at how large he was!

Goshen suggested I start recording my babies' birth details so I can have something to look back on. What a fantastic idea that was! I can't believe I hadn't thought of it before!

I am a terrible mess at the moment, I know Goshen is probably going to leave me soon, but I hope he can stay for a few more days at least.

Trained in the mire with Rot and Ira today (LV 10) Because it's the start of the plague festival, Ira and rot needed to gather mushrooms and brought me along, they figured since Aixa's a scout, she should have some self defense capability in care she ever needs it.

I am beginning to get quite lonely, the clan has not hosted a traveller in a long time, Heart's keep has entered a time of great prosperity and has grown in number, space has been a concern, but this is being remedied as a few dragons are sent off to join other clans. Perhaps after they have left, I will bring up the possibility of hosting a traveller with the clan leader Bluestone.

Today I was tasked with gathering in lightweaver's domain as one of my dear clan mates needed a rare herb native to only that region. Anyway, I was soaring over a set of ruins along the bank of a river when I was bowled over by a large beautiful nocturne, we got along so well, that a few days later, we managed to surprise her clanmates with a nest.

30/10/2017
Many nights had passed since Aixa had shared her bed. The nights were getting warmer as seasons changed, and she was looking for someone to frolic with once her daily duties were finished. It was a godsend when Iceblush, a handsome wildclaw arrived to the lair with the trader's caravans. Just in time for the riot of rot celebrations, Aixa had a happy few nights and of course the pair got along so well that the nest was soon filled with three small nocturnes. The two males quickly flew the nest, finding clans of their own to settle in, however the youngest- a female (Shula) went straight into the service of lightweaver seeking a noble cause for which to work.

As always, her fling left soon after the hatchlings arrived.

24/11/2017
After much thought, Aixa decided it was time to travel around, and see Sorineth, despite being the clan's scout, she was not very well travelled, arriving in the clan as a hatching, and really, she had never really lived anywhere else for more than a short time. Her itch to find a new home grew rapidly, and she followed the next caravan of traders to the forums where they did their business, a few recent disagreements in the clan meant that she wasn't the only dragon in search of a new clan, but she was the one her previous clan mates least expected to see going. Her farewells were bittersweet, the bonds she had formed with her clan mates were wordless, and strengthened by their many moons together.

Perhaps one day she would return, she knew they would welcome her back with open arms.

If you would ever like to exalt Aixa, Ecci would be glad to take her back.
