Taking a breath, you approach curtained doorway, curious as to what lay beyond the tatters that hung from the ceiling. Strange lights, sounds and smells tantalise your senses as you grow closer to the hidden chamber, and through the tears in the dividing curtain you manage to spot a cauldron, quietly bubbling away. Just as you are about to enter, a midnight Pearlcatcher walks into view, muttering to himself darkly before tossing some unknown powder into his brew. Sighing loudly, he turns to face you, a displeased expression marring his features. "I can see you there, you know," he huffed, shifting the curtains aside. "For goodness sake, just come in. My name is Dusk, and for the love of Shadowbinder please do not touch anything."  wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwnll Much like his namesake, Dusk's presence within the Haven is both fleeting and predictable; often absorbed in his alchemical experiments, Dusk rarely leaves the confines of his shadowy abode, only emerging to gather ingredients for his latest brew or when summoned by Theia. Being both a loner and a grouch, Dusk prefers to remain alone in his study, dabbling in magic and tinkering with alchemical formulas. Due to his proficiency in combat magic and deep knowledge of the Tangled Woods, Dusk serves the Haven as both a member of the Vanguard and an Envoy's Accomplice to Kairavi, despite their highly contrasting personalities. As an Envoy's accomplice, it is Dusk's duty to protect and assist Kairavi whilst she performs her duties as the Envoy of Shadow, which primarily involves accompanying her as she travels to and from the Tangled Woods. As a member of the Vanguard, it is also Dusk's duty to protect the Haven from invaders, as well as venture into Beastclan territories in search of resources and food. Due to elemental advantage over and general fascination with robotics, Dusk's preferred venue is the Golem Workshop. |

We seldom talk - we're both very busy, you see - but he's always the first to welcome me back after an expedition to the Golem Workshop, and naturally the first to rummage through the spoils in search of parts for his latest contraption. |

Kairavi - Assigned Envoy Oh yes, Kairavi. Well, we get along well enough, let's just leave it at that. Theia assigned me to her as an Envoy's Accomplice some time ago, and although her antics have left our relationship strained at times, I can at least hold a pleasant conversation with her. I just wish she'd stop dragging me along to visit Dukali at the Abiding Boneyard, our trips are long enough as it is and I have more important things to attend to... |
