Biography

"Ah... Amaterasu. Origin of all that is good and mother to us all..." - Celestial Brush Gods.

In the world she comes from, Amaterasu is the Goddess of the Sun and the master of all 13 Celestial Brush techniques.

Those techniques allow her to control the movements of celestial bodies, almost all elements known to Sornieth, the speed of time. They even give her the ability to repair pieces of the environment around her, slice through enemies with no physical weapon and allow her to climb walls with ease.

With that and an array of Divine Instruments, physical weapons ranging from Reflectors to Rosaries to Glaives, she's a force to be reckoned with in battle. Along her journey, she's even come across artifacts that offer all sorts of added aid to her journey- sometimes something as simple as offering Yen to heal her wounds, something as incredible as swimming through lava or walking on water, or even something as powerful as a necklace of beads that effectively makes her immortal.

It may all sound frightening in retrospect, but rest assured that though she has no qualms with getting her paws dirty in a fight, Amaterasu is a wholly benevolent goddess. The worst she could do is headbutt you, or accidentally leave you in the crossfire of a Brush Technique.

She'll help you with almost anything you'll ask her to, offering traveler's charms or golden mushrooms, or even clearing a most wanted list of demons. Praise, maybe a bit of money, and some pets are all she'd ever need in return.

In Sornieth, Amaterasu continues to act for the benefit of the people, helping with any task she can and fighting to defend her clan and the innocent. She's not much of a talker, but nevertheless her presence is comforting.

Notes: Okami is Japanese for 'Wolf'.
Okami Amaterasu is based the goddess Omikami Amaterasu from Japanese Shinto Religion.
Folks call her Ammy for short.
