Her life began, trapped in the glassy confines of a mirror. After being freed by a scavenging party in the Sunbeam Ruins, Quies remembered nothing of her previous life. The only things she kept with her are her name, a natural distrust of strangers and a fear of mirrors. Not the breed, but to her, they were strangers all the same.

It took a long time for her to even begin to trust the dragons in Hazel's clan, who had freed her, and even then, she was an angry recluse. A part of Quies felt constantly frustrated due to not knowing who she was. She was a suspicious menace. She growled and even slashed a kind warrior's face who tried to befriend her. It was only when a fellow fire dragon had the audacity to offer her a few tools of blacksmithing, and invited her into his own personal smithery.

As she grasped her 'first' ember with the tongs, a fire within her rekindled.

  • In the beginning, Quies was very rusty and easier angered when metal did not bend to her will. Trapped in her own reflection... She had lost her touch. In anger, she'd toss her tongs into the fire, set the smithery ablaze, or smash her failed work into the ground. It was hard for the clan, and even the blacksmith to deal with her.
  • However, months passed and she began to calm down, finding her footing and even connecting with others due to smithing. Whether she spoke to the blacksmith for help, or proudly showed off her wares to those that rescued her, she found herself in the art she made.
  • Through the experience, she learned that even if you didn't know who you and anyone else was, you could still trust them. Obviously, there were exceptions, but if it wasn't for the clan trusting a complete, moody stranger not to burn their home in the Tangled Woods down, she wouldn't be where they were today.
  • Then, Hazel's clan left the Tangled Wood for the Shifting Expanse, and things changed. Work piled up, and her blacksmith friend had no time for 'art,' only the most efficient and cheap weapons were made, no filigree lances or elegant katanas. It was Broadsword, after Broadsword, after a spear. It grew boring, and it never ended, the customers were grim-faced exaltees prepared to fight the other exaltees for dominance. They missed the spark of someone who truly saw weapons the way she did. She wished to break free and find someone else to craft weapons for, people more lively, people who smiled and didn't seem to fear the road before them...
  • The blacksmith, her mentor, passed due to an electrical storm that hit him when he tried to make an energy sword. He was exhausted and tired, and had no patience to wait for the lightning dragons to help him. He died quickly. She said her goodbyes after his death.
  • She travelled to the Ashfall Waste, where her companions became fellow blacksmiths and teaching their underlings. She had several of her own as well, and started birdkeeping with Bleeding Heart Crows who were clever enough to help her carry her tools about.
  • She then took a mate, and finally settled in DragonHome, and started an inn. plz explain.
  • Was apart of the ____ Circle, sought the mysterious
    legendary sword of _____ with the power to kill
    emporers and bring the dead to life. Quies was
    with seven others, she was in charge of food and the
    creation of weapons and tools when the situation calls for it,
    she was a very talented and youthful blacksmith and warrior,
    and eager to make a name for herself.
  • Her mate, Lenios was the one who learned about the
    legend and planned for the expedition and about the pay,
    he was an informant, well read on clans, geography,
    flora and fauna, he was a walking encloypedia and would
    be very useful on a journey such as this.
  • Other members include mercaneries Zolean ( a war
    vet, who proved to be traitorous), Infinite (who was
    believed to be the traitor, but managed to find and kill the
    true traitor before the cave fell down, Wolfrem who has
    sworn to not speak of the tale, and has long changed his
    form from then, his student Ives, Jubilee (the one who lives
    and decides to hide the existence of the sword, and sells
    it to a musical bogsnek), and a fossil pearlchatcer
