“No one knows what goes on within his head. I can't even hazard a guess, and I've played a mother to him since we adopted him into the clan. He seems to be pretty easygoing though, except around fire and black dragons, but at least he isn't terrified by Shadow.” ~Dany

Voiceless was discovered by Sylvan Shadows when the clan decided to play a simple game of open the doors. What started as a simple seeming party game at the travelling fair quickly revealed a bloody mystery.

What had seemed like a beautiful glade filled with birdsong quickly became more ominous, dark and eerie. The door the clan had chosen to open for their prize had a large stain glass window covered with dust. As Dany reached out a paw to clear away the dust, images filled her head.

What she had seen had seemed as beautiful as the pathway they had chosen in the first place, dragons and the beastclans living together in harmony. Out of nowhere it seemed, dragons were angry and raging, flames burned and destroyed everything in their path. Blood was spilled, claws lashed out. At the end, three pure black dragons seemed victorious, covered in the spilled blood of their enemies.

Coming to, Dany received quite a shock. Somehow she had entered the room, and was now covered in soot from head to claw. The room seemed to be the aftermath of the battle that still raged in her head; she couldn't believe it was just a vision, it felt so real. The scent of something burning filled her nostrils, and she sneezed, soot flying from her nose. Sitting alone was a hatchling fae, with curious, sad pink eyes, fear and excitement showing in them.

Voiceless was a rather unoriginal name, but the young fae who never spoke of his first few days on this earth seemed happy with it. He believes to this day that he had watched his family die that day. Although he now has a new family and an adoptive mother in Dany, the fae doesn't speak, and gets terrified around fire and large black dragons. He especially can't even stay in the room if one of the clan's Ridgebacks, Anubis is nearby.

One can't tell if his belly was always that color, or if it became blood stained after the events he witnessed, and of course, he won't be telling anytime soon. Frazio swears he heard the fae speak to his companion Aviar once, but everyone thinks he's crazy.

Voiceless has taken up time with Din as well, helping her care for the familiars. The beasts had nothing to do with his troubled past. Because of that, he doesn't judge them like he does the darker dragons, and works well with them all. Around Din, Dany, and the familiars seem to be some of the only times he ever is seen to smile.

Starfall, his Aviar, does a bit of the talking for him as the avian creature learns the dragon's language. While some of the beastclans have methods of communication, beaks tend to click and chirp, making a spoken language difficult. Starfall though, has been working hard to be the voice for the small fae, and picks up on Voiceless's moods faster than anyone else. With the more advanced vocal cords of his kind, his mimicry has developed into language. He has certainly been a godsend for the clan, and goes so far as to keep a keen eye out for any dragon that might cause his partner fear.

Voiceless has taken up a bit more of a darker apparel. It is speculated that it reflects his depression over his family's death. More than once, a dragon from the clan has claimed to have heard a soft laughter after his creepy appearance scared some unsuspecting creature. Perhaps that is how he gets his laughs!
