The resident mortician of Star's Grasp, she treats her “subjects” with as much proper respect as she does with living dragons, whispering little prayers that they have a safe journey into the afterlife while handling their cadavers with the utmost care. She is one of the sweetest dragons you could ever hope to meet, not unlike her best friend, Niomi. She’s kind and compassionate.
When others run into her, she appears in a melancholy mood for the deceased dragons that come into her mortuary, though this is always easily lifted just by being around the uplifting energies of her fellow clan members. On the other side of the coin, her natural sensitivity also makes her easily bruised by others’ harsh words.

She can often be found crying, sometimes for the dead (whether or not she knew them), sometimes because she was insulted, and sometimes for seemingly no reason at all. Despite mean-spirited dragons who sometimes pick on her, she generally believes that everything will turn out for the best, no matter what situation you’re in. Saudade does her best to remain honest and trustworthy—it was why her leader, Indi, had hired her on. She tries to see all sides of a story before passing judgement, although she often comes off as gullible or as devil’s-advocate because of this.
Even still, she gets along well with all her clanmates, and while she likes to chat, her quiet calm makes conversational silences comfortable. She has a hard time standing up for herself because of her soft and gentle personality. True to her sector of the clan, she prays that the Plaguebringer watches over the departed souls that leave her mortuary once she is finished preparing them for burial.
