H I S T O R Y

______ Seakin had been trying since she hatched to get others to see her as more than just a pretty face. She had become a skilled fighter in her clan, wanting to get her parents attention and prove that she was more than just something to be starred at. One day, after months of her attempts to be taken seriously as a warrior were dismissed, she decided it would be best to leave and go somewhere her fighting skills would be useful. She had heard of a dragon and his son in the wasteland that would train dragons to be warriors. Perhaps he would accept me and turn me into a true warrior she thought.
______ Later within that month she began her journey to the wastelands. She had a few problems along the way but ultimately made it to the wastelands safely. It took her a few days to navigate her way to the lair, but eventually she was greeted by the sounds of sparring. She couldn't help but grin as she crept forward to see two wildclaws training with the father and son duo.
______ She stepped forward and called out the the older male "Are you Xenolith?"
He stopped training and looked at her. "I am. And who might I ask are you?"
"I am Seakin." she replied politely. "I'm here to see if you'd train me."
"Do you have any experience in fighting?" he questioned as he signal the darker green wildclaw forward. "Windkin. Care to help out?"
______ The wildclaw he had called Windkin replied "Of course Xenolith." before turning to face Seakin "Ready?"
______ Seakin nodded and crouched, ready to fight. Windkin lunged at her and they began sparring. The other wildclaw and the other Coatl had stopped sparring and were now watching the fight. Windkin had pinned her, her claws against Seakins shoulders. Seakin got her hind legs between them and pushed her off, quickly getting up and moving to pin Windkin. Her claws pressed against Windkins throat, her back legs pinning the green Wildclaw's.
______ Xenolith spoke up."Enough,you won."
Stepping back, Seakin moved to help Windkin up,"Good fight."
Windkin nodded and moved back.
Xenolith stepped forward. "Where did you learn to fight like that?"
"I taught myself, mostly. I was the best fighter in my old clan." she answered. "I want to know more though."
______ Seeing that she was determined to be a warrior the elder Coatl turned to his son. "Would you care to show Seakin to one of the empty rooms inside. We're about done for the day."
______ "Yes of course father," he replied. "I suppose we have yet another student then."
______ "It would seem so." Xenolith responded.
