There had always been something so alluring hidden within the winds. Something that beckoned to him, like that of a siren's song, but yet no music to be found. The aqua colored Imperial had been born into an ice clan, the frigid winds always on the verge of consuming the qualities that had given him some color to his dull life. Despite the curiosity that raged within him, he had no desire to rebel against his parents wishes, thus quietly resigning to the life that they had nudged him to. They wanted him to become an alchemist, as the clan had lacked one and was in dire need of one who could deal with chemicals and concoct strong liquids that could assist in their medicine efforts and war efforts, if the time ever came. So, he conformed to what his parents had sought for him, in efforts to please them. It took him a while, but he began learning the odd ways and secrets that alchemy had hidden. But even despite his skills, he still pined to be soaring in the fresh warm breeze, finally free of the cold that had encased him in his time of abiding by his parent's wishes. Though luckily for him, winds of change were soon to be upon him. Shigure had caught wind of the apparent thief who had committed theft upon his clan a few months prior, and was now being held in captivity. He knew not of what they were to do with her, but apparently from what he had learned it had been a small pirate raid, so perhaps she knew how to steer a ship...? Perhaps she could give him the adventure he had always yearned for. After a rather tedious talk with the fugitive, who went by Eurys, they agreed to escape to the seas together. He had never felt so alive, assisting in stealing a ship from his own clan's ports and setting course for an unknown destination. Eurys taught him how to fix parts of the ship, he still has a lot to learn but enjoys this task much more than alchemy. For the first time he felt truly free, enveloped by the welcoming winds. |
