Azzar is a pearl-less pearlcatcher who was a sage of his clan. After an unfortunate cluster of events, ultimately leading to his own daughters' disappearance, Azzar fell in a downward spiral. After falling short in many of his duties, Azzar left his pearl and went on a search for a new purpose in life, eventually leading back home with nothing in hand.
After Gira traveled to his clan, looking for those who could assist in the Sycamore project, Azzar volunteered, followed by Nemo and Sofya.
