Maracuja comes from wizarding blood, and the same fire burns within her as burned within both her parents. She loves to watch things burn. But she did not inherit any sort of propensity for destruction: Mara is quite aware of the fact that things end, and that fire can catch and most things can burn, but she neither relishes nor loathes the fact. Fire is not something that can be completely controlled, she understands, and while she respects that about it, she knows better than to give it more leeway than it deserves.

Mostly, she loves to watch sugar crackle and turn brown, popping and sizzling and cooling so much like her beloved glass. Those are the two places where she lets fire take its hold on her, where she indulges the call of the fire: her sticky sweets, and her meticulous glasswork, deft and calloused claws making quick work of the molten sand while she nips at it with quick bursts of flame.

While many know her as particularly level-headed and detail-oriented, the kind of dragon with the infinite patience needed to work on such small and delicate things, the truth is that there is also something wild about her, and if you catch her eyes in the glimmer of the firelight, then it's absolutely unmistakable. Mara burns like a fire inside, too.
