Darius

"Well? Aren't you going to introduce me?"
"DARIUS?!"

A hush fell over the room. Every eye was upon the two Imperials. It was almost as if everyone were waiting for someone- anyone!- to make a move.

"Dismas," the female Coatl said, coming to his side, watching the unfamiliar Imperial carefully, "I take it you two know each other?"

A dark laugh escaped Darius' mouth, sending chills up everyone's spines. Her eyes narrowed as she drew closer, standing in between the two.

"It is as you say, my lady," he said, causing Dismas to growl in warning, "The two of us know each other quite well."

She hummed lightly, but her stance didn't change. If anything, the warning growl that came from her mate's throat made her tense up slightly. She held her gaze with Darius.

"What is your business here then?" she asked, her tone cool and calm.
"My business?" he said, tilting his head as his smirk widened, "I need some sort of business in order to see my older brother?"

Whispers made their way through every corner of the lair at Darius' revelation. Why hadn't Dismas said anything about having relatives?

It was then that he spoke up, his voice carrying a harsh edge. "Yer not here fer jus' a friendly visit, Darius. I know ya better than that."

Kyna turned her head over toward Dismas, a questioning look on her face. He shot a look at her- one that all but told her that he was far more dangerous than he appeared.
