"...Where's my coffee...?"

Not many know him. Some know him and well, they respectfully disagree with his opinions. But for those that fall into the latter category, or those that don't fall into either, Adwen's a good dragon, just strongly independent and slightly misunderstood. The flaming Imperial can give quite a startling first impression, and since his two moods seem to be near hibernation and caffeinated hyperdrive, possibly the dislike is somewhat warranted. If one wanted his help, and many do, as Adwen acts as a combat instructor for the clan, they'd have to get through to him, which can take some doing. Considering the unholy amount of coffee that it takes to keep him awake, it's understandable that he'd be a little choosy with who he spends his time with. Most of the time, it's his two cats, Khari and Fee, and not one of his clients as it should be. However, he's an amazing teacher with infinite patience once one proves themselves worthwhile.
The other part of Adwen's personality that gets a bit of a negative light is his fiercely independent side. As a member of the Council of Twelve representing Fire flight, he has more than a little political power, and is often pushing for new policies, some of which are ever so slightly controversial. For example, his call for the Schism to fund Dominance battles for other flights was deemed "harmful to the clan's neutrality" and was never officially supported. Yet, Adwen funds the program out of his own pockets as he believes it has merit and will bring funding to the clan despite what the others think. Because of his openness about his opinions and his faith in his idea, the other dragons of the Council know that they can agree to disagree and that Adwen will respect them even if they do so.
