They are winged-vampires who search for victims at night. They hunger for blood and are usually described as flying creatures that can transform into a huge bird or bat at night to prowl in the form of.

Abendrot is a half-deity vampire with the abilities to see the future of those whom offer their blood to him. He consumes their blood(often mixed with rich red wines) and is then able to see the events of the being in the future. Abendrot is unable to predict their future but skip ahead to when his patron achieves the goal in which they ask Abendrot to predict.

This ability is deemed useful in the world of deities and those above mortal due to the items, power and spoils that can be obtained with Abendrot's vision. As payment, Abendrot takes large quantities of deity and rare bloodlines and bottles the blood into fancy wine bottle for pleasurable consumption; as Abendrot can become highly intoxicated by them - his ongoing addiction to alcoholism.

Abendrot will offer his services to mortals as well, though being prejudice while doing so - making his services to mortals a luxury as well as rarity. Often only accepting payments of rare red wines and alcohols alike as well as gorgeous garments and jewellery.

Even though Abendrot is half vampire, his upbringing never brought him to interact with his own semi-mortal kind, so their customs and manners never made their way in to Abendrot's personality or mannerisms; though he maintains the vampire's diet and possesses some of their abilities.
