Despite his best efforts to carry himself like a dignified member of royalty, Synthus is often subjected to the utterly ridiculous nickname of "SYN" by some of his less serious clanmates. He refuses to respond to it, though that doesn't stop the aforementioned clanmates from barging into his personal space and bothering him with whatever it was they actually wanted other than to make a complete travesty of his perfectly noble name.
Sythus is quite fond of wearing red, as he thinks the colour looks regal and striking against his black-and-white colouration. Distant, acerbic, and somewhat condescending, he takes his job as a trainer very seriously, constantly pushing trainees to their limits. Any trainees who attempt to slack off will not be treated kindly. Despite his intimidating aura, however, he is neither utterly tactless nor cruel, and those who manage to live up to his exacting standards will win some hard-earned words of praise for their new strength and skills.
