Chroma is as motherly as a mother can get. Whenever her husband is away during battles, Chroma is there for her daughter, Thousand. The large guardian will lounge outside of her mother's lair when troubled. In these cases the smaller pearlcatcher will come and sit on her daughter's shoulders, stroking the smooth webbing around her face as if braiding non-existent hair.
When Morphe comes home from long battles, although he greets his daughter first, Chroma still smiles and is happy about their relationship. Morphe, after a long romp with his daughter, will lovingly greet his wife and spend the rest of the day with her. The two of them will cuddle each night for many weeks after.
