  Dear mother, so little time has passed, but so much has changed! The last time I wrote, I told you about how I would never wanted children, that my calling was something else. And as I write these letters, two tiny balls of fur surround me - my two beloved children, who broke free of their eggs just today. I love them so much - it's incredible. I always loved hatchling and enjoyed watching them grow, but having children on your own is so different. You must be curious why I changed my mind so quickly - well, the name of this very reason is Sheng. Isn't he the most dashing Skydancer you have ever seen? Since he came to our lair I couldn't let my eyes off him. He is just so mature, so wise beyond his years! Well, not everybody here thinks so, but for me, he is perfect. But so shy! Everytime I wanted to talk to him, he just suddendly had something else to do. I almost thought that he didn't even like me! But then... Well, I was on a walk and I noticed these trails in the woods. I followed them and found him stuck between two trees. Yeah, he might be a bit... clumsy. I naturally helped him out. And on our way back we talked for the first time. Things went on fast after this. Shani isn't too happy about it, but I couldn't care less. |

Describing Sheng is actually pretty easy. Imagine the nicest person you know and add some sort of fatherless clumsyness into the mix - and voilá, you've got Sheng. But on a more serious sidenote, Sheng is actually the born father - he let's you grow, but carefully puts you in the right direction. Although some might say he is the personal incorporation of a dad joke (and he LOVES to do these, much to Avis' dismay), he is one of the most responsible draogons in the Starwood Strand. Yes, more responsible than Keahi. Although happy and cheerful today, his life hasn't always been easy. Born into a family of fighters, he never was the best soldier. He feared going to the arcanist and losing his life in the fight against the monsters of the shade - so he fled his old lair and wandered the land - until he finally found a refuge in Jasvinders and Keahis clan, the Starwood Strand. Sheng enjoys the presence of his family, of his beloved Iwi and his son Avis. He deeply misses his little girl Aria, who was send away to the lair of Iwis parents to be trained there in the art of magic. He understands the need for this, but he doesn't like it one bit. In the clan his duty is to deliver mail. As a skydancer he swiftly and gracefully flies through the sky, often accompanied by little Avis, who is very eager to help his daddy delivering scrolls and messages. |
