Butterfly catcher

Elcid, quite unlike her mother, is a very quiet and reserved creature. She never speaks. It is a matter of speculation as to whether or not she isn't able of performing the task or if she chooses not to. But she has never uttered a single syllable. This dragon doesn't need to, though, because she can say more with an expression or a gesture than many can in a hundred words.
It is because of her silence and gentleness that Elcid makes a wonderful butterfly catcher. She cannot be described as an entomologist, though, because she doesn't ever keep them. She houses them temporarily in a large glass case, one creature at a time, and sketches them down and describes their details in a notebook. Then she lets them go.

She has dozens upon dozens of leather-bound journals filled with sketches and descriptions of the gorgeous things she so loves. If anyone tries to take them without permission (a dip of the dragon's head) Elcid gets very aggressive and territorial. Still, though, she does't speak.

Elcid is much like a butterfly herself. Silent, graceful, and beautiful.
