Gallica is a gorgeous, vibrantly pink coatl from.... somewhere. She's very mysterious- dramatically so, in fact. Her flair for the theatrical is ignored by most, annoying to some, but she doesn't seem to mind much. Her antics are borne mostly good-naturedly by the clan. Interestingly enough, despite her strange and somewhat immature actions, she has been the only dragon ever able to turn Duskrunner's head and catch his eye.
Even though she's from Wind flight orignally, and resides in Wind now, she's very talented in the arcane arts and is a skilled mage, though not quite so great as Myrial. Gallica's talents mostly seem to be in the business of theater- she's a fantastic actor and dramatic storyteller. Historia often requests her assistance in retelling tales to the clan, as Gallica can enchant herself to change her appearance or create illusions of all kinds out of light and shadow.
Beneath Gallica's performative nature, she is an easily embarrassed, defensive dragon, with little capability for understanding and love. Her lack of compassion is what caused many of her children to leave, and what causes the few that remain today not to seek her out for conversation and affection. She doesn't entirely mind - she never understood children anyway - and does not hold herself in any way responsible for Kers' death or her last child's disfigurement. She places that blame on two things - one, the arcane magic of other dragons, not her own; and two, on Duskrunner. She assumes that things he's encountered in his journeys altered him somehow, causing him to be the reason for the mutations. Despite the fact that she is the one who courted him, she blames Duskrunner for taking up a good deal of her life, forcing her to be a performer and mother in the Wide Sky clan when she could have risen to fame elsewhere.
The final straw in their broken mate-bond was Duskrunner's commitment of their last son, an unnamed wildclaw stricken with the many-eyed curse of the outer sea, to the Deep Caves and to eternal slumber without letting him live even a day. She doesn't care that her son's life was destroyed; she cares that it was taken from her, and swears that one day she will free her son from his unjust prison and get revenge for the years she lost as Duskrunner's mate.
It didn't go as planned, when she finally got her chance. She bungled the breakout, waking Skydust, and alerted the entire clan to what had happened. They tracked her down, captured her and her son, and locked her in prison once the poor dragon she'd tried to kill to cover her tracks returned and told everyone what had happened.
Now, Gallica is locked in prison, and her poor son finally has friends and companions who love and appreciate him. In her endless dreams, she wishes fire, fury, madness, and death upon the clan she once called home - but she is buried deep in sleep, locked away under layers of enchantments, and she will never, ever get the chance.
(I know i shouldn't, but really, look what this monster could be.)
