Kaden is brilliant, there's no denying that. Being Marked by the Stormcatcher at a young age is the most obvious display of it, but if you hang around him for a bit his sheer talent with machinery shows. The man's been summoned to a dozen Lightning clans to assist with one thing or another; for a little while he was in the Expanse more than he was home. Considering the notoriously insular ways of the upper class Lightning clans this is far more impressive than it already sounds.

Unfortunately Kaden is also erratic, impulsive, and insensitive. He used to be far worse; Rayna has done an excellent job of getting him to restrain himself. His reputation is still in shambles however, and so for all his invitations to assist with one prestigious project or another there are no invitations to actually live there. This is somewhat unfortunate, as Kaden and autocratic governments don't mix. Alcor is not against using physical means to put people back in line and well... let's just say the littlest finger on his left hand still doesn't work quite right, even after all these years.

These days Kaden is more of a repairman than anything else, flitting from place to place and fixing everything from lightbulbs to water purifiers. His newfound ability to hold his tongue - and the protections of his mate - have kept him off of Alcor's radar, much to the relief of all involved parties.

• Kaden and Azimuth are childhood friends, and once they were fledgling aged they were mates on and off too. The biggest hurdle in their relationship is Kaden's struggles with monogamy; as Azimuth is strongly monogamous this resulted in more than one explosive fight. In the end it was Rayna who finally managed to curb Kaden's proclivities and the three of them are now in a closed triad. By all appearances their relationship seems stable, a far cry from the volatility of Kaden and Azimuth alone.
• Kaden's difficult personality would logically make him plenty of enemies to go along with his lack of friends, but this is oddly not the case. Mostly this is due to the fact that despite all of his issues Kaden is quite charming and silver tongued when he wants to be, and can often talk his way out of major conflicts. It also allows him to come across as an eccentric genius rather than a snobby jerk. His acquaintances usually quite like him, but anyone who makes an attempt to become more than that tends to regret it.

OOC Notes
• Ratchet & Clank fandragon!
• While Kaden is difficult to work with and not exactly a beacon of goodness, he's not evil, either. Most of the issues he has and causes are totally unintentional, and he has enough of a moral compass/sense of empathy that he's fed up at himself for accidentally causing harm. Azimuth wound up inadvertently enabling the poor behavior by always forgiving Kaden no matter what; with Rayna he has to work a lot harder to not be a jerk. Slowly but surely the lessons are sticking.
