Gulliver was born to no clan, with no family that he can remember. All his life he's been alone. Luck gave him the skill to fight, and with that skill and his determination he made his way to Kuwa Jasiri. In the arena, he's a marvel: the tiny young fae, obliterating much larger opponents. In the arena, he can earn everything he ever wanted in life if he survives the fight.

While gifted with natural talent, Gully can be clumsy and his technique needs a lot of work. His bargain with Craven, the King of the Arena, makes him Ilanvor's 'apprentice' and...effectively Craven's arena-slave for life.

With the roar of the crowd and the shine of the winnings though, that's not so bad.
