Chione chiōn - a minor goddess of snow in Greek mythology.

Hatchling Life ;;
Chione emerged from her egg clawing and screeching. A hint of her future life. Her instincts told her to fight, to battle, to go to war. So she did. If a fellow hatchling came too close for comfort, Chione would dish out a scratched muzzle and a black eye. If an angry parent marched up to scold her, Chione would snarl and fearlessly throw her tiny mass upon the bigger dragon, fighting for all she was worth. This, of course, earned her no friends and many enemies among her clan, but she couldn't care less. She had plans to travel away from the chilly, unforgiving Southern Icefields when she was grown. That meant getting away from her old clan. She couldn't wait...

Adult Life ;;
Chione departed her from her old clan as soon as she was full-grown. Bidding them all a cold farewell, she began her trek out of the Southern Icefields. The journey was hard, with many obstacles and fights, but Chione miraculously made her slow way to another region, a warmer and more peaceful region: The Windswept Plateau. She had heard that the Bamboo Steppes were a nice place to settle down, perhaps start her own clan. But when she arrived at these such Steppes, a surprise greeted her. There was already a clan living there! Chione wasn't sure what to think, at first, so her primal fighting instincts came out and she about knocked the leader out cold. Upon later learning, (and perhaps a bit of apologizing, too) Chione heard that the clan needed some-dragon to lead battle patrols and protect the clan. But it couldn't be just any dragon. It had to be a fearless, brave souled dragon willing and ready to leap into a fight. Wisdom had to be involved, and luckily Chione contained a bit of that material as well. So she became the clan's new and shiny Captain. She leads daily battle patrols, protecting her clan against enemies. Nothing has ever defeated her, either, for Chione is always on the alert for trouble. This alone has earned her great respect amongst the clan, and all the he-dragons pine for her attention. Chione has no time for romance, however, as serving her clan is her first and most important priority. Nesting is only seen as means to increase the numbers of the clan. She vows that the day she dies will be the day that she stops serving her clan physically, and goes on to watch over her clan from above in spirit.

She has trained a Winter Wolf as one of her guard dogs, and patrols the clan's territory regularly.

Personality ;;
With an intense gaze that can crack most dragons in her clan, Chione is an icy, thick-skinned dragon. Urgings from friends to relax only riles her up. Only in privacy, and after thorough checking, will she flatten her crest and take a short, fast inhale. She insists that it's her way to relax, taking a longer breath, which to others looks just the same. Outside the clan lair, she does not hesitate to bring protection to her clan, often asking questions after chasing off would-be enemies. Her sense of humor is dry, and she hates pranks, which only irritate her and drive her in a rage to find the culprit. But after several scrapes and skirmishes, she's been trying to keep her headfirst mentality in check. To many in the clan, she is definitely not the most agreeable dragon.

Demogorgon - "The old guardian let me into the clan. She doesn't talk much about where she's from. Usually just a grunt or a vague statement. But I'm fine with that. I got my own personal backgrounds. Knowing her, I have a respect for the way she runs these misfits and strange devils. I can't stand her blasted mate though-- wish I could claw his infuriating smirk off."

Raiden - "He's a big goof, that's for sure. I'm not sure if I can trust him not to do something stupid behind my back."

Cicero - "Not any better than that blasted Diabolous and his stupid grin."

Redwood - "Redwood is silent. Too silent. And she likes that strange Wildclaw, Dogwood. I don't trust her."

Dogwood - "His opinions and ideals are silly and unrealistic. I mean, a Wildclaw that doesn't eat meat? Impossible!"
