Orwandel is the guardian of the sacred library. The sacred library contains special books that hold a dragon's soul inside. Each book, while containing the soul, also holds the record of the soul's life. Once a dragon has died, the book simply ceases to record, and releases the soul of the dragon.
As the guardian of the sacred library, Orwandel must simply keep them from harm's way. He lets no one, not even the owners of the books gain access to the library. Because of this, Orwandel is often alone, therefore has spent his time improving his fighting skills and teaching himself about exotic subject from other books in the library (it's a fancy library).
