Ferdinand definitely lives up to his name. He was the biggest of the litter, the strongest, and somehow the sweetest.
He came from a war-ridden background, though he soon found himself sneaking away with another dragon like him--but bigger. A giant, Imperial, Cinna, who encouraged his gentle nature and led him to Raziel.
The Coatl now spends his time exploring, sending letters and packages to different clans, and even escorting former members to their new homes. He has a near encyclopedic knowledge of the world around him. So he uses he great sense or direction to his advantage, and enjoys his job thoroughly.

Though he tries to be gentle, sometimes Ferdinand's playfulness can get the best of him. He doesn't realize his size, and manages to accidentally hurt anyone smaller than him he plays with, such as Sunny or Louis.
