Given Name: Petra Finchcatcher

Daughter of a Queen and Nobel, Petra was the born in an fire flight airship alongside her four siblings. Although she was the first royal nest to be born into the clan, her mother Rega did not allow her and her siblings to be heir to the throne - Rega planned to give that right to someone who she believed worthy of it - of her blood or not.

Petra was always the weakest of her siblings, she was even the last to hatch from her egg. Determined to prove herself, she took up the art of potion brewing at a young age. She trained along side the ships head of medicine and alchemist, taking the skills and lessons from their trade skill and applying it to her own. It was not long before she was creating powerful potions and ridding dragons of many of troublesome illnesses that would of otherwise taken weeks to cure. She refused to create potions made to bring harm, taking pride in her ability to help those in need. Hearing about this, Her mother gave Petra the first right to the clans throne. Overjoyed by her accomplishments and riding on a high of self worth, she decided to tackle something no one dared to before: to cure Ashbounds. Ashbound dragons are fire dragons who cannot use their element, due to being out of a fire nest or exposure to lower temperatures as an egg. It was something her clan was burdened with, being an airship, a lot of hatchlings where born with the disability. She created a potion with extremely concentrated fire magic and an ingredient found in Fire Flowers. Using herself as a test subject, she consumed a very small dose of her creation. She felt her insides grow warm, hot, too hot!

It had taken the clans most powerful mages and then some to control the fae who was sprouting lava from all points of her body uncontrollably, one of the clans librarians, a ashbound pearlcatcher named Vera, was killed in the disaster. Once Petra realized what she had done, and what she had become: an uncontrollable lava spewer, she formally banished herself. Today she searches for someone, something, anything, to cure her of her self inflicted curse.
