Etymology
The name "Kalliope" means "beautiful voice" from Greek καλλος (kallos) "beauty" and οψ (ops) "voice". In Greek mythology she was a goddess of epic poetry and eloquence, one of the nine Muses.

About
Kalliope is kind of a derp and a ditz when she wanders around on her own or following her love Adrian. But ask her to sing or give her an instrument and she becomes a whole different dragon. Her voice as she sings will silence the new pups, calm the scared, soothe the sick and so forth. She collects the rare instruments and different things that can make her music different and new.

She loves to make the other dragons smile, so she is constantly seen hopping around and making funny faces. She is just a giant kid at heart. When it comes to her mate nothing in the world can calm her like he can. He is her rock and firm ground that she needs sometimes, just like she is the joy and controlled chaos that he needs to lighten up at times.
