Gladewalker Cape 		Though considered a full member of the clan in every way, Viridian hardly seems to spend much time at all living in the lair, considering how frequently he wanders abroad through the wide world of Sornieth to investigate, catalogue, and classify different species of flora and fauna. Rather similar to a butterfly, he hovers around interesting forests, swamps, and meadows full of exotic plants and insects, alights briefly to collect samples, and then flits off on the wind toward the next interesting source of natural specimens. When he does return to the lair, Viridian usually arrives heavily laden with journals teeming with descriptions and pictures of plants, bags and containers of specimens, charts and maps depicting different biomes across Sornieth, and even samples of soil, water, and rocks for studying environmental effects.

Because his journeys and schedules can be so unpredictable, Viridian generally ends up communicating with friends, family, and clanmates almost entirely through letters, most of which are delivered by the equally hardworking and far-ranging Maelstrom. When her messenger routes and his itinerant studies cause their paths to cross, Viridian and Maelstrom often indulge in their favourite pastimes together by racing each other across the sky before settling down to search for new plants and animals for Viridian to analyze.
