The iridescent shine of her egg glinted against the moonlight. There Midnight layed, curled inside her protective shell as the rival Wildclaw tore through the Driftwood Drag. Unhatched, she was unknowingly the object of desire for the dragon that snatched her. Stealing the eggs of rival lairs cut out a lot of hassle that came with rearing children. Doing so saved energy, resources, and time. Her kidnapper had stolen her from the humble Flotsam Town. In the water village were multiple well established Wildclaw lineages whos brave acts of public service had spread across the domains. The thief had been keeping tabs on the families for many months, waiting for a pair to have their eggs. Now that the clutch had been layed, and both parents were exhausted from newfound parenthood, the criminal had no issue sneaking into their lair.

For this thief in particular... their family tree had been rapidly diminishing. If caught, the thief would have had to repay their crime with their life. To reclaim pride in their families' bloodline, they had resulted to what many other Wildclaws have done. Seize the eggs of the more prolific.
