Drawing nearer, you manage to make out the silhouette of a cloaked Mirror through the tatters, wings drawn close to her body and her head bowed low. The loose earth of the cavern floor shifts beneath your feet as you move to take a step towards the still Mirror, causing her to turn to you with a vicious snarl. Piercing red eyes could be seen from beneath her mask, and as she approaches you cannot help but notice the bloodied cleaver at her side. "I asked not to be disturbed," she growls, crests raising. "Unless Sebastian has left the Haven, I-" she stops herself, noticing the fear and confusion in your eyes. Face softening, she sighs, "My apologies, stranger, I can rarely get a moment to myself these days. I am Ru, the Haven's Envoy of Plague, and while I do not wish to be rude I must ask that you leave. I wish to be left alone." |

About
Hailing from a large clan nestled in the heart of the Scarred Wasteland, violence and survival have been constants in Ru's life. Even from a young age, when Ru was not fighting fang and claw against the horrors that prowled the Wyrmwound, she was honing her skills to prove that she was worthy of her place in the clan. Despite not being necessary, Ru still works to prove herself to Theia and Talamir, often by undertaking tasks that even the hardened Guardians themselves would not take on. Ru's dedication to the Haven easily won her the favour of the Haven's denizens, and with a lifetime of combat training and intimate knowledge of the Scarred Wastelands behind her, Ru was an easy choice for the Haven's Envoy of Plague and Champion. Ru's eagerness to serve her clan is not the only trait that has stemmed from her previous life; readiness, aggression, and quick thinking were always rewarded by survival at the Wyrmwound, and despite Ru's best attempts to become accustomed to her newer, slower way of life, the young Mirror often finds herself on edge. Ru's demeanour often shifts between habitual aggression and guarded stoicism as she struggles to reconcile the differences between her violent past and peaceful present. When free from her duties, Ru can often be found meditating in her chambers, working to let go of her demons and come to accept that they no longer have a place in her life. |
