~*The Detective*~

A cynical, hardened dragon who is greatly used to disappointment and to how vicious other dragons can be, Monochrome (or 'Chrome' to his friends and allies) has settled into the lair without asking anybody's permission or caring much about it, fashioning out a cavern and quickly filling it with cigarette smoke, cheap alcohol and case files to pore over endlessly. When confronted by Ratana over his behaviour, he assured he that he would be no trouble as long as no other dragons disturbed him, giving her a bored glare as he did. Only when threatened with forcible eviction did he say in irritated, clipped tones that he was on a stakeout for a case. It is unknown how long for.

Seeing as he is not much of a nuisance, the clan tolerates him and leaves the Pearlcatcher to his own devices as he gets his own food, which mostly consists of drink and cigarettes. Sometimes they hear him monologuing to himself, often referring to the female members of the clan as "dames" in ways which some of them have expressed great irritation at while others find amusing. However, they better get used to it, because with each passing day it looks less and less likely that Chrome will be solving his case anytime soon.
