Araxie

"Get off."
*Pause*
"I said get off"
*Longer Pause*
"This is getting absolutely ridiculous. I need this tome, and I can't open it because of you."
*Short Pause, punctuated by a tiny, satisfied meow*
Araxie scowled at the Main **** kitten that was hanging off of the tome she had just taken off of the shelf. The little thing had been following her for days now, and she couldn't get it to leave her alone. She supposed it was her fault, she had saved it when she had found it washed up on the shore, near drowned. Since it had regained full health, it had followed her everywhere. Her familiar was no help, the blasted Dryad just laughed whenever it happened, so Araxie was stuck trying to get the kitten to leave her alone.
Trying and failing, as even when she set it down somewhere it still trailed after her. Finally, she simply sighed and set the kitten to work, having it fetch various tomes as she needed them, to record achievements or messages from the Tidelord. There were still times when it would hang off of the tomes rather than help her, but at least giving it a job to do cut down on the frequency of such times.
And she would deny until her dying breath that she gave the kitten a name and was fond of it. She had a reputation to maintain, after all.
