 Khonsu always loved the moon. From the moment he opened his eyes, a fixation, a deep admiration, took root in his heart. His tranquil and inquisitive nature isolated him from the rest of his family; the child of two very devout servants of the darkness surely was also expected to revel in the shadows. Not chase after the light. But Khonsu never cared for the preaching of his father, or the dark craft that his mother took so much pride in practicing. He did not dream of proving his fealty to the Shadowbinder. He dreamed of the moon.

It made him a stranger in his own home. It embarrassed his parents, to the point were they attempted to shelter him from the world. Contain him, until they could sway his young mind back to the shadows. Instead it simply drove Khonsu further away. Into the Tangled Wood he retreated, chasing his dreams. Chasing the moon. Perhaps it would lead him home.
