"The winds shall set us free."

Amphilyon’s windy and carefree ways weren’t always as welcomed in her old clan. She and her brother originally hailed from out to the East, a land of shimmering pillars. The pair spent night and day studying the ancient ruins and dead languages, trying to better their knowledge, but eventually the rigid schedule of their life took a toll. The twins felt trapped in their endless cycle of academia, and wanted to live life like the wind: untamed and free. And so they made their plan. Gathering what little they owned, they journeyed across the seemingly endless Sea of a Thousand Currents and shadowy vines of the Tangled Wood until, exhausted and almost out of hope, they were forced to land in a place of powerful zephyrs and tall bamboo. The two were almost out of luck until they stumbled across a clan led by the Guardian named Ishkirka, who promised the two Imperials that if they stayed they would never have to study again.

Amphilyon’s great speed and agility lend themselves to being a messenger, and her knowledge of the winds from the years she spent studying air currents have come in handy on numerous occasions. Her mask serves as a mark of her vocation, and allows her easier passage through usually hostile clans – passage for which she is grateful, for she dislikes conflict of any kind. Whenever she flies Amphilyon dips in and out of the clouds around her, revealing in the smoky trails that roll off her wings like feathers on a bird, and can be seen doing intricate tricks and maneuvers. She is never far from her brother, Griffolyon, and the two of them often sit with the hatchlings of the clan, making them kites and telling them tales of clans from their studies, who were long ago forgotten.

Amphilyon lives her life as carefree as possible. She despises work, always finding a way to get out of her responsibilities and fly instead. Unlike her brother, she is constantly trying to see how fast and high she can fly. While on the ground, she hones her skills at making kites and wind toys for other dragons. Her bubbly and friendly personality has a charm that she knows how to use, and she loves talking to other dragons about anything under the sun. She never strays far from her brother, and the two of them share a lair on the highest outcropping they could find – all the better to catch a breeze from.
