Biography

tumblr_inline_nkpbakTXRy1qg2i5p.png
Uh-oh, looks like this rowdy Wildclaw wandered a little too far from his lair (136580, Prescott), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. We'll pay for his safe return!

Nestor had always been curious about the outside world. Ever since he heard Kovu's story, he was desperate to run free from the Forgotten Clan to see the world. One day, Temporal warned the Clan of a foreboding event that would soon strike them all. Not wishing to be a part of it, Nestor ran away, with the hopes that maybe, just maybe, his absence would somehow halt the forthcoming tragedy. If only that had been true...

Turning his gaze to the serene southern lands, Nestor set course for the Windswept Plateau. The Windsinger's land was a land of peace and rainbows, right? But to get there, he first had to fly over the Wandering Contagion.

When he set up camp in the Abiding Boneyard, he was instantly attacked by a swarm of Shattered Serpents. The Wildclaw managed to fend off most of them, but was eventually overwhelmed. His last thought as the creatures circled him was regret for abandoning his clan...

Then, out of the chorus of hissing, a furious whinny cut through his clouded mind. A Carrioncorn charged in, throwing the Serpents off with its single deadly horn. Nestor took the chance to leap up and continue the fight. With their combined force, the two unlikely partners drove off the snakes before collapsing together, exhausted.

Nestor slept peacefully that night, while the Carrioncorn kept watch over his vulnerable form. The next day, he bonded with the lone creature and coaxed it to come along with him as his familiar.

Carrying his new companion on his back, Nestor continued on his journey to the Windswept Plateau.

Asking the local dragons placed him at the threshold of a clan in the Twisting Crescendo. As soon as the word 'travelling' left his mouth, the clan leader, Levante, was ushering him in with open arms. Apparently she mistook him for a dragon who travelled by choice, which she was always eager to entertain. Nestor considered correcting her, but when she placed a steaming hot plate of meat before him, he decided this was a lie he could live with.

A high-ranking Skydancer named Jaeger was assigned to show him around. Though his official title was hatchling caretaker, he also had an interest in taming wild creatures. He admired Nestor's fierce new familiar, and shared a few tips and tricks to bonding with it. Under Jaeger's tutelage, the Wildclaw grew even closer to his Carrioncorn.

Eventually, though, he grew weary of the Crescendo's ever-present howling outside his window. He bid farewell to the clan and took off to continue his journey.

His next adventure took him deep into the grass lands and moors of the Reedcleft Ascent. He their found a kind and humble clan who were honored to accept new travelers. Warm and welcoming he began to feel at home, making a place and name for him self. But one dragon was not so trusting. By nature, Kelpeater was suspicious, especially of outsiders. But with his light banter and sunny disposition, she began to fall in love. But just as soon as he came. The winds of adventure began to call, and he left, without ever knowing she existed.

Nestor traveled ever onward, ending up deep in the wetlands of the Nature Guardian's territory. Ending up deep within the tangled undergrowth and paths long hidden away from vines and over flooded areas. It was here he came face to face with a pair of Wildclaw who were clad in a mix of bone and armor. Both light on their feet and poised to strike as the larger of the two demanding a name and reason for venturing this far into the growth. After getting a name and reason they soon escorted the traveler to their lair.

It was a tucked away place, hidden by the lush lands around it and protected by thorns and flowers that made one question how safe they were to be around. A massive guardian slept near the back, how he fit in here was a mystery. Another was how he managed to get out if he ever left. The next greeting he got was from a small fae who was quick on her feet but didn't seem to be able to fly for some reason. She spoke in quick tongues and riddles before inviting the traveler to rest a while, warning him just to mind the nest watcher as she can be a cranky claw when bothered too much.

His rest here led him to meeting a younger female claw. She went by the name of Trista. She was proud and elegant in her stance and was curious of this traveler who wore a mask. She had never expressed much interest in anyone before but this one caught her curiosities. After a few nights she presented him with a token from one of her first hunts. A high honor from this clan. What looked to be a harpy skull with green feathers and beads attached to it. "Even if you forget me, remember the life you left here." Was her parting words to the traveler as he informed the hidden clan he was moving on.

Having visited these clans, Nestor decided that it was time to return home. He'd made some wonderful new friends along the way, and he couldn't wait to share them with his old clan mates. To this very day, he still wears the apparel gifted to him, and his familiar remains by his side as a permanent reminder of the adventures he had. Best of all, the foreboding event that he had escaped from turned out not to be as bad as he had expected.
