Only the very best will satisfy Royarle. With his majestic colouring and matching genes, he has always been treated like the royalty he believes himself to be. He has only ever associated with the cream of dragon society and even now refuses to mingle with the others in the lair. He would rather sit by himself than let the others believe they are worthy to speak with him. That was before he met Copper. Surely a girl with such a name could not be as good as him, even if she was a Coatl. He was adamant about these beliefs until he saw her. With her bright colours and rare patterns, she was a goddess.

Royarle decided then that he would pursue Copper, but how? He spent so long devising a plan, staying up late into the night to try and think of ideas for how he would prove himself worthy of her. Eventually, once he had come up with an extravagant plan filled with wooing and gifts, he approached her, expecting to be turned away by someone he was so unworthy of. Instead, Copper shocked him by accepting his friendship - and perhaps more - immediately. She would later admit that she had been nervous about approaching him, having heard of his vanity, fearing that he would turn her away as he had so many others. Filled with shame, Royarle decided that he would try to change, for her. Even now he finds himself demanding the best, only for Copper to roll her eyes and shoo him away.
