Monarch is a smug, curious fellow, born into a large clan. He had many brothers and sisters, twin to his looks exactly, so similar you couldn't tell them apart. Besides their attitudes, that is. Monarch, for example, was a smug prince, who decided he should always get his way, no matter at what expense. Despite that, he wasn't unkind, although he did tend to rub most dragons the wrong way. The way he strutted, as if he were the most important wyrm in the clan earned him quite a few nips in his childhood.

Although he lived in a clan that writhed and squirmed with infestation, he prided himself on being untainted, untouched by the shade. That, however, has begun to change, as his skin starts to blacken, covering his once pristine white markings and sunkissed wings. He seems to see no difference, though. If one asked him, he would deny any infection at all, eyes fastening on you as they blanked.
