The Living Crystal

IZWTngH.png Not too far from the clan's lair lies a grove filled with pink crystals of varying sizes. While some crystals are small, others grow to the size of Guardian dragons. It is here the clan cultivates these crystals before sending them off to the Observatory. As time went on the Arcane magic began to seep into the surrounding area which drew several concerns as to whether to continue mining the crystals or stop altogether. The ever-present danger of a catastrophic explosion was also a worry over the possibility it would spread to neighboring regions.

While the clan tried finding ways to prevent such a disaster, that worry had come true before any action was taken. The explosion hadn't been too destructive, only affecting the grove. A few brave dragons scouted the aftermath to discover a new crystal had formed right where the explosion had occurred. They would soon discover they were being watched. Pink eyes very similar to the ones belonging to Arcane dragons stared down the small group. The 'crystal' shook off fragments from his body, taking a big yawn and then lying down to take a nap. The scouts quickly traveled back to the lair to inform their findings to the clan matriarch.

Days later a group led by Aria returned to the grove. Luckily the 'crystal' hadn't wandered away, seemingly staying put in the location. The best approach, Aria decided, was attempting communication. To the group's surprise, the 'crystal' was able to speak perfectly with them. He rose from his resting spot, allowing them to realize his form was in the shape of a Snapper dragon. Kunzite, as he called himself, explained he was a crystal given life from the Arcane magic caused by the explosion.

Kunzite soon found his place within the clan, becoming the grove's protector. He also maintains the abundant Arcane energy to prevent future catastrophes.
