Emerald is who you would imagine when you imagine the perfect brother. Well, almost. He loved his sister, Ivy. When he left his original clan, He had to leave Ivy behind. He was devastated about this, but his best friend, Xochi, was able to comfort him and help him move on. Once she learned Fae, of course. She and emerald are now adopted siblings of their Clan leaders, Azure and Neptune. Emerald had to learn draconic at a young age, because there were few Faes in the clan at the time, so he couldn't communicate with many of his clanmates. Because of this, Emerald can speak Draconic almost perfectly. Almost.

When a young Fae named Tyrian moved to the clan, he and Emerald were instantly friends. The young, energetic and childish Tyrian and the young, sparky and sweet Emerald were so similar, that they just clicked.

Ever since Xochi got her powers, Emerald has been constantly hovering over her, making sure she's okay. She thought he was being too much of a worry wart for awhile, but then she remembered Ivy. Just before she and Emerald had left the clan, it was announced that Ivy was to be Exhalted to the ranks of Stormcatcher. Emerald had been at such a loss back then that he never ate, and almost starved to death. He had good reason to be worried. He couldn't lose another sister. Luckily, Xochi is fine, but Emerald can still be found fussing over her.

When a dragon looks at Emerald they might think to themselves 'now look at his colouring, that's a dragon who's good at growing things!'. They couldn't be further from the truth, Emerald can't grow anything to save his life (metaphorically speaking). It seems that any plant put under his care dies within a few days. Does he not know how to properly care for the plants or is he just unlucky? Who knows.
