Welkin lived, as a hatchling, in the desert of The Shifting Expanse. At a young age her parents were killed in a machine accident, leaving her to fend for herself. Eventually, while earning pay for repairing some wires, she met Nephrite, who decided to take her under his wing. They ended up finding a home in The Viridian Labyrinth. Now, she takes care of her clans young, so they may never have to experience what she went through so long ago.
Recently, a handsome Coatl has taken interest in her.
