Biography
Ered Luin
Blue Mountain in Sindarin
Patient - Lawful - Protective
Blue Mountain in Sindarin
Patient - Lawful - Protective
Ered Luin had always been the odd one out. He was quiet, shy, and invisible.
He came from a loud and wild family with more siblings than he could count. Always choosing to be on the sidelines, preferring to be a humble observer and not a participant. The only time that Ered Luin broke his silence was when someone needed help, such as when a fight between siblings breaks out, or when someone is lost.
Ered Luin was very patient and calm, which made him seem wise to the hatchlings around him. When he was not alone reading or studying, he was breaking up fights and resolving arguments.
When he became a full grown adult, he made a choice to dedicate his life to helping others. Living in the tundra meant dealing with snow storms so heavy that some were trapped inside for days. Whenever there was a storm, Ered Luin would gather supplies such as food, water and blankets in his satchel and put on his hood and spend all night out looking for people caught in the storm.
One night, Ered Luin was out during a very heavy snow storm when he noticed one of the small caves in the side of the tallest mountain was glowing with the warmth of a fire. He flew up to see if anyone needed assistance.
He stood in the small cave entrance and when he peered in, he saw a coatl whose wings looked like the fire that flickered between them. After spending the rest of the night in the cave with the coatl, he learnt her name was Hathaway and she "Did not need any help, thank you very much!". Her wings were not the only thing about her that reminded him of fire. Her personality was made of it, she was hot-tempered and untamable. She was like no one Ered Luin had ever met before.
By the time the storm had passed and the sun had risen, Ered Luin knew he could not leave her.
Ered Luin and Hathaway had bonded to form a very strong friendship.
They balanced each other.
His ice.
Her fire.
"Would you want to join me on my adventure?"
She asked him, seemingly nervous for the first time.
"I'll follow you anywhere"
He replied.
