Baumbart
Hermit | Guardian | Tree-Shepherd
Baumbart loves trees, especially the old and gnarled ones. Some say that he loves the company of trees more than the company of dragons, which wouldn't be too far off the truth. He is a bit of a hermit, spending most of his time with his beloved trees in the Shrieking Wilds, skillfully avoiding both dragons and beastclans while he cares for his trees and tries to communicate with them. Brygid sometimes has to scour the forest for her wayward clan member, making sure that Baumbart hasn't grown roots yet and reminding him that he is, indeed, a dragon and has a clan waiting for him to visit from time to time.
Baumbart is mostly a peaceful (if slightly grumpy) dragon, but if you dare to lay a paw on one of his cherished trees, he will turn into a wild and dangerous thing (and he's very good at holding grudges).
His mate Fimbrethil and him often spend long times apart from each other, since Fimbrethil prefers her orchard and her flowers to the wild trees Baumbart loves so much. The two of them still share a deep and close bond, understanding each other in a way no one who has never tried to communicate with trees will be able to comprehend.
