Slate

Slate is an Earth dragon with a deep connection to all things underground. While we scamper around on the surface Slate is listening to the stone and hearing stories from below.

Slate possesses an incredible ability to read the land and know exactly where every mineral, crystal, fossil and ancient relic are hidden. Also impressive is her ability to command the earth to yield to her will. With a word and a stomp the ground will part perfectly to reveal secrets below.

Calmly direct, Slate is serious about finding treasures in the ground and leads her mining team to dig up riches for the lair.

When the House of Xarz collapsed in the battle between Xarz and Wrizgeer, Slate created a neutral ground away from the fighting where the workers could seek refuge. Amazingly, both sides largely honoured this safe space, sparing the miners from the worst of the fighting. When Wrizgeer emerged as the dominant force in the region, he recaptured this territory and has imposed harsh quotas for the miners to meet. Because of Slate's leadership, they are largely left to govern themselves, and make do with what little they are given in return for their extraordinary resource extraction.
