Dante

Having been born during the end of the Great Flight Wars Dante's parents were often of fighting the Light Flight.He and his siblings basically raised themselves from two weeks and on.Being just under two months old,he was still less then half the size of his three siblings.Having no parents to scold them,his brothers and sister would often pick on him and tease him about not being able to fly.He would often escape to a small cave, that he could reach by climbing to practice flying, just below his cave.One cold,cruel night however his siblings went too far.They planned a cruel and horrid prank.They decided to throw him from the den,knowing that he couldn't climb the steep hill side without help.After they had thrown him from the cave,his siblings left him lying in the cold,wet grass.He decided they had gone too far,so he devised a plan to repay their cruel treatment of him.

One dark stormy night when he left to put this plan into action his parents were out hunting.He climbed down out of his families cave and hid in a large tree just outside the den.He knew the rain would wash away his scent before his siblings could find him.Deciding to wait and watch when his family started to freak out, he curled up and watched out of the tree.He awoke to a terrible crash of thunder andbolted from his tree and tried to fly up to his den.The wind was to strong for someone as young as him though and he was blown into the forest. He crashed against a tree and tore his left wing. As he screamed in agony he regretted his plan.After losing so much blood he passed out.

When he awoke, he found himself being carried by a guardian shadow dragon.He didn't recognize where they were as he looked around. He started to move and realized his wing had been bound to his side and he noticed for the first time,that I was cautiously watching him from just behind Aurora's neck.He tried to hop away and almost fell off Aurora's back,but she turned her head and caught him just before he hit the ground.Although, he did try to remove the bandages after a very low and menacing warning growl from Aurora he stopped trying. However, she could not give enough warning growl and roars to keep him from jumping around and climbing her neck to perch on her head.It was amusing to watch her try and shake him off without hurting him.When I watch them this way it almost seems as though she's enjoying herself.Although he is healing quite well and will probably leave soon I can only hope that it will not affect Aurora badly.I'm hoping that the young fae named Dante will stay with us and that it might help Aurora become more social-much like she was as a baby- and less hidden from people.


That was four months ago.Now he's fully healed from his injury and to my delight has decided to stay with us.And even more surprising he and Aurora are expecting their first brood to hatch soon.

Only days ago Aurora and Dante's second brood hatched and they were accepted into Plaguebringer's alliance.Having kept one child themselves, another went with a friendly clan, the other four went to serve Plaguebringer, in her domain.

Yesterday Dante's and Aurora's third brood hatched to reveal a beautiful baby girl and a handsome little boy.Who much to their parents disappointment have gone to serve Plaguebringer in her domain with their older siblings.

"Our fourth and final brood has hatched and our two boys went to serve with their siblings" said Dante to me."I'm afraid that she will react badly when she finds this out."
"I believe that as long as you are still here she will be fine"I said as I smiled at him.
As Aurora flew into the cave I whispered to Dante "We may still feel and act like outcasts at times,but be certain of this we have finally found our place in this world...."
