━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ P E R S O N A L I T Y There wasn't a big clap of thunder, or a huge storm, or a choir of angels to herald Clyde's and Blinky's arrival into existence. There wasn't a dragon in the clearing a moment before, but now there was. Two, in fact. For a moment, the two just stared at each other. How different they were from one another! He was a fluffy blue Tundra with pink wings, and she was a sleek purple Mirror with brown wings. The only similarity was their purple-pink eyes, both filled with confusion. Then the Mirror dipped her head, a sign of greeting. "Hey," she said casually. "I'm Blinky. Do you have any idea what we're doing here?" He shook his head. "I don't have a clue. I'm Clyde." The name had popped unbidden into his head, and he shocked himself just by saying it. It was as if another dragon had said it, or commanded it. He shook his head. This is weird. A pause. "This place gives me the heebie-jeebies. You wanna get out of here?" Blinky suddenly shuddered. "Yeah, this is a really creepy place. Let's go." And so the two turned away from their birthplace, bringing a sense of warmth and new beginnings with them. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ |

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ H I S T O R Y Ever since his mysterious birth (if you can even call it that) Clyde has had no idea what he's supposed to be doing. He feels like he was born, created, to do something... but he doesn't know what. He can feel destiny pulling its strange claws around his heart, but he hasn't a clue of how to further this feeling and make it something real. To his unending surprise, dragons have actually joined him and Blinky. He and the Mirror have become close friends and even mates. Technically, they rule the clan together. But, in reality, he just lets others do what they want and listen to them if there's a problem. More than half the time, the feuding dragons can work it out themselves. He has become friends with many a dragon in his time wandering in the Arcane lands, but Rainflower grew particularly close to him. Clyde loves Rainflower's sense of humor and his snorting laughter. It always lifts his spirit. He seems particularly close to a Citrine Cave Jewel that will, on occasion, scurry into the clan's camp and nibble on some leaves before running away again. He has been seen holding out a leaf or two for the critter, and even stroking its fur. He hopes that one day he will be able to tame it enough to bring it home with him. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ |

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ P E R S O N A L I T Y Clyde is the most laid-back dragon mostly anyone will ever meet. In fact, he didn't even realize that he was leader of the clan until four or five dragons started referring to him as 'king' or 'chief.' Then, to convince him, it took about his whole clan to get him into the role! Instead of being seen as a leader, he would appreciate to be looked upon as a father. A big pink and blue father. A cool uncle would be good to be seen as too. He is slightly strange. His cave is covered in shiny pennies and sparkling Labradorite. No one asks why, but everyone thinks that he just likes shiny things. They'd be right; Clyde is irresistibly attracted to anything shiny. His patience has made him well known. All of the dragons in the clan have come to Clyde one moment or another and know how quietly and respectfully he can listen to a problem. Now, offering a feasible solution, that's a whole other issue. That's not to say that Clyde is Mr. Posh and Perfect. He can be quite nosy, actually, and if you ask him to help you with a problem, he has a tendency to go over the top. Also, sometimes when he makes a remark meant to be taken facetiously, it can really sting. Whenever he thinks he has hurt one of his friend's feelings, he makes sure to go out of his way to apologize. All in all, though, Clyde is really just the guy that the dragons of the clan portray as their leader, even though he's not quite that. He's more of a big, fluffy, dad to all of them.
