Brolen

Brolen could best be compared to your crazy grandpa. His kind-hearted, down-to-earth nature attracts many, and his work ethic is uncanny. Unlike most Arcane dragons, his interests include inventing, innovating, and metalworking. The first thing he did when he discovered the clan's cave was to build a workshop and carve out a forge inside of said workshop, against Alsingul's better judgement. He experiences a strange kind of thrill whenever he sees an electric current make a couple gears turn. Because of his obsession with mechanics, he's always wearing his goggles, and as a result many dragons assume that he's either a Lightning dragon or a Fire dragon. However, he's not. He simply focuses his curiousity on the mechanical world rather than the world beyond the sky. His most prized creation would have been Daali, if, to put it in his own words, "it hadn't turned out like a Shadow dragon on steroids." However, even with his most ambitious project being a flop, he didn't have the heart to tear it apart and start over. Malerisk would have killed him if he did, anyway.

Bail, his blue tang hippogriff familiar, began to accompany him only recently. He was discovered in Brolen's workshop as a foal inside of one of his supply buckets. Guess where his name came from? Compared to Brolen, Bail is a serious, down-to-earth hippogriff, but is a lot more cautious than his master-turned-teacher. Often, if one listens outside of the workshop, they can be heard arguing about how dangerous it is to do insert-thing-here, with the conversation usually ending in an "IT'LL BE FINE" from Brolen. One day, Bail thinks those will be Brolen's famous last words.
