Biography
Violet Sky and the Lost Dragons.
Violet Sky was, in a word, bored. She had once had a thriving lair full of family and friends, that she loved and cared for very much. She had raised those children to be great heroes and brave warriors. And they had all gone off to better lairs and better lives, and left her alone. And now she sat, all alone in her lair, bored out of her mind. And she was lonely too. There weren't so many people on these ends of the tidal pools. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a dragon moving along the beach. The dragon seemed to be dragging it's feet, drearily. He wasn't at all happy, and VioletSky felt a pang of sympathy. She, herself, spent many a cold night doing that. She knew whenever she was alone on the beaches, all she wished for was someone to come along and comfort her. And maybe, this dragon was looking for the same thing.
VioletSky got up slowly and walked to the dragon. "Hello" She said. "You look like you could use a nice cup of tea. How about you come inside and I'll give you one." The dragon looked up, it's sad eyes reaching Violet Skys.
"I think I would like that. But are you sure I wouldn't impose?" The dragon sounded so unsure, and violet felt a pang of familiarity in this. She heard that in her own voice quite often.
"Of course not. I've been dying to have some company for ages. It'll be a blessing to have someone inside. "
The two dragons walked inside. Soon, Violet Sky learned that the dragon's name was Morning Glory, and he was a long way from home. The dragon had been the first of his line, an egg abandoned by it's parents. He had never felt welcome in the lair he'd grown up in, and finally had decided to just leave. He didn't even realize that he had come all the way to the tidal pools, until she had stopped to talk to him.
Morning Glory stayed in the lair with Violet Sky for a while, until it felt that this place was home. But it wasn't the lair he liked so much, as much as it was Violet Sky. He liked her motherly ways , and her caring smile. Violet Sky liked Morning Glory too. But the thing she liked most was being able to help another dragon, and not being alone all the time like before.
And then the idea came. Violet Sky loved helping people. Violet Sky could do that. Her lair was empty. She could use the space for dragons who needed a loving family. They could start all over. They could start a second chapter of their lives.
And thus, the Second Chapter Society was born.
