Azure

Azure was born to the Tangled wood, an interesting place to grow. The brambles and twisted roots along with the sunken ground made for a hatchlinghood just shy of boring. When he first opened his eyes, blinking away the shadows that covered them he was greeted by two old snappers who asked no questions, just pulled him under their wings and continued back to their lair. Azure was curious but never brave. He grew up on stories of faraway lands and heroic tales. Lands that burned and simmered, some with large windswept plateaus, some with disease festering in pools. When he was old enough, his parents began to take him to the market with them, where he learned to run their booth. One full of shadowy and enchanted objects. Azure was content, he got to hear the stories of countless adventures from the dragons that stopped by.

One day towards the end of the day, a sky dance approached his booth. She was about the same age as him, and while she looked over his objects a small nocturne with glowing yellow eyes played between her legs. Soon the hatchling had become obsessed with Azure’s fireflies, chasing them and playing with them while Astraea continues to shop. When Astraea would come to the market, she would always drop the hatchling with Azure before she went to do her shopping. After a few weeks of talking about getting to know each other, they decided to start their own clan which they called the Tribe. They settled into a cave large enough for many, opening their cave and their wings for any dragon who might need it. Some dragons only passed through for a few days, some took up more permanent residencies. Life was good for the pair and their Tribe.
