Main Theme: Ruler of Everything by Tally Hall

______ Arpa is not a dragon. Instead, she is a being of pure Shade. Before the gods shaped the world, the Shade (still far away) had control over many, many worlds. It swallowed everything it touched, tainting everything in inky blackness. The Shade hardly had any sentience at all, simply consuming all in its path. But, one tiny chunk began to think. Slowly, these thinking pieces of the Shade broke off, taking shape as they floated through the infinite expanse of space. Arpa was the last chunk to break off, and thus, had almost no time to develop as she drifted through space. She was lost, broken away from the hivemind of nothingness. But then, a soft humming drifted towards her being. It had different tones, both beautiful and terrifying. She willed herself forward.

______ The world had finally taken shape, and Arpa was overjoyed. She tried to fling herself to the ground, but she wasn't the only one who had heard the humming. The rest of the Shade had gained sentience also, and was hungrily heading towards the surface, ready to eat more. The pillar was built, and suddenly Arpa had no way to go to the place that felt so right to her. She waited, and the rise and fall of Second Age passed. The pillar fell, and Arpa hurried to the surface. There, she saw dragons. Primitive dragons, but dragons nonetheless. Still having no shape, Arpa tried to fit in, but it turns out dragons don't take to small black masses too well. She was hopeless, until she found a special orb. It allowed her to take the form of a dragon that she trapped within it. Arpa was overjoyed, and quickly began to work, hoping to gain dragon form. Surprisingly, it worked, and the Shade creature was a dragon.

______ Years passed, and Arpa quickly realized that dragons, in the whole of it all, don't live too long. If she wanted to keep up this facade, she'd need to constantly be getting new dragons inside of her orb. It was around the time of the first beastclan raid that Arpa first heard harp music. It was so much like that strange humming she had heard out in the depths of space, and was hypnotized by the sound of it. The next few hundred years passed, Arpa learning the harp through many different bodies, and playing melodies too sweet to truly appreciate. She wants to recreate the humming, so that all of dragonkind can hear what she first heard, oh so long ago.
