No one within the clan really knows where this irritable little Nocturne originally came from. Whether it's because they enjoy the mystery, or because they fear the verbal flaying it may provoke, not many have been hard pressed to find out, though. While inspecting a new expansion to their lair, Svikja and Paragon, the leader and her advisor, came across her lounging around what was supposed to be Paragon's new living quarters; buried within his pristine collection of silks. Absolutely livid, the Coatl shouted for her to leave their lair at once, but the Nocturne responded by calling him a "feathery twit" before settling back down to continue her nap in peace. Paragon was shocked and looked to the matriarch for backup, but Svikja found the whole ordeal quite amusing and allowed the Nocturne to remain. She was deemed "Grumpy" shortly after her arrival, as she would not tell them what her birth name had been, and because it became apparent that she had the social skills of an ill-mannered rock. She doesn't like to shout and she isn't physically violent, but her blunt remarks, unflinching stubbornness, and overall rudeness encourages others to actively avoid her company. |

Grumpy loves to watch and imitate the upper class members of the clan and has become specifically interested in the fancier Coatls within their lair. The contrast between them and the bleak land which they've made their home is so utterly drastic in a way which fascinates her. She often finds herself "Coatl watching" for hours on end, and many often complain about the unnerving amount of time in which she spends staring at them. It is the second most occurring complaint by Coatls within the lair. The first being of stolen silks and jewels, to which Grumpy is also usually the culprit. |
